Reading Logs

Each time you complete a reading log, come into the Library for your next reading log and a token of achievement, including a milestone prize after reading 500 books and another after finishing 1,000! You will also receive a certificate of completion once you finish the entire program.

No! Repetition when learning to read is important, so if your child wants to read a book more than once, count each reread as a book.

It depends! Since it is self-paced, it can take a few months or a few years.

Print books, digital books, and audiobooks all count!

No! But it can help if you need books about topics that you do not have in your home library.

You’ll find it is actually quite easy! To read 1,000 books in one year, you’d only have to read 3 a day (and that will put you over your goal!). To read 1,000 books in 3 years, you’d only have to read one a day!
