Volunteer at the Library

The Indian River Area Library loves our volunteers! If you want to help out in the library, please reach out to us. Volunteer positions include reading during story hour, participating in other library events, and greeting library patrons. All friendly faces welcome!

Shelf Readers

Books have a way of getting mixed up! Volunteer to help put them back in their places. Shelf readers go through the shelves and find books out of order and help to rearrange them.

Story Time Helper

Love working with Kids? Volunteer as a story time helper! Story time helpers sit with children during story time so their parents have a chance to look around. Story time helpers are need every Friday at 11:00am.

Story Time Reader

Who knew you could volunteer just by reading a few books. Read books to children on a Friday at 11:00am. You can pick books yourself or we are happy to pick some out for you.

Event Host

Have a topic you are passionate about? Host an event at the library. We will provide the venue, advertising, and more. Share your interests with Indian River.
